I think there is a link hiding

somewhere else. To solve the problem, try this:

Open File A, highlight all the data, then go to anohter sheet or open another blank file, on the menu, click on "Edit - > Paste special -> values". Then save the new file or new sheet(delete the old one), then open again and see if the problem still there.
