RAID0 can help overall perform

need really reliable drives. Maxtor is still not as good as the other two. I prefer Seagate slightly over WD. I haven't seen any controller that runs both RAID0 and RAID1 simultaneously, but if there is one, I would imagine that you'd need 4 identical drives to achieve double capacity of a single drive. Why do you do that?
