传真功能已设定,为什么总要求我plug phone line

windows XP computer传真功能已设定,为什么总要求我plug phone line to modom?
I did send a fax successful during I DIAL-UP to internet, but the problem occurred after I ADSL to internet. Why?

Anybody can give me an idea?
