CD-ROM stopped working

My CD-ROM used to be able to read all audio CDs, but several days ago, after I installed a CD burner software (Ulead DVD Workshop 2 Trial), the CD-ROM stopped working for SOME audio CDs (not for all audio CDs). It keeps saying "please insert a disck into Drive E" even though the CD is there.
