求助：Problem with low resource

Recently, my PC always starts with a tons of unseen applications (God know what they are!). This makes the PC always at the edge of freezing. After I put in two new RAM chips yestoday, this PC has 768MB RAM now. But it still shows only have 38% resource aviliable, after I turned off just about everything (I'm using Window Me). And, after I started DSL, it shows only 10% resource avilible...
Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
