need help on remote control so

I used to use a remote control software to control my computer in the lab, and there is no problem. But today, when I try to control it, my host machine does not receive any commond from me whild I can saw my host computer and do the file transfer. Anybody here has any idea of what's wrong with it? By the way, I control two computers in the lab, both of them have the same problem.
