If you have a user FOO on Windows 2000, and the Windows 2000 IP address is 192.168.1.10, (use ipconfig.exe to check).
Then in windows 2000, explorer, right click the folder, then click "Share", share the folder as MyShare, give permission to FOO (read, Change, or full).

From Win98, try to connect to \\192.168.1.10\MyShare, use account 192.168.1.10\FOO, and password for FOO.
