GPS: MS Streets&Strips 2004

recognize GPS receiver (BC-307 CF from GlobalSat). i bought it for fun.The GPS receiver supports Standard NMEA 0183 command: GGA, GSA, GSV, RMC, GLL, VTG. However, MS map also supports the NMEA 0183 version 2.0 or later format. I set communication port of GPS to Com6, which communicate with notebook (winXP) well. Com port was set to 5 in MS Streets. In this way, MS streets can not recognize GPS receiver. If I set maps com port to 6, it remind me of com port conflict.

I am looking for help to go through this dilemma.
