My PC doesn't boot

It is a Dell INSPRION 4150. Last time when I was trying to boot, it displayed a screen (I could not remmeber all of the message) indicating some error and I had to restart. After I powered it off, it could not boot any more. The only thing I can think is I inserted a CD when the machine was not fully booted last time. Anyone could help? Thanks a lot.
