I was doing all these but only troubles me. After searching around, only WPA2 is needed.

JUST FYI (after reading the inccidents posted by sillywoman).

my setup:

1. do not broadcast SSID or your network name.

You have to communicate, people will know from every single package, so it only deters laymen.

2. use WPA2

Yes, this is important.

3.Use MAC filtering.

Harder to get around, but easy for real hacking.

4. Only one PC (with specified MAC) can change your router setups.

What if that only PC can't connect to router for whatever reason? ... sigh.
