My caller id is not working with magic jack?
I think I know exactly what your problem is. If everything else works ok, except for Caller ID, your USB port may not have enough electrical power to make the caller ID work right OR your phone needs more juice than is currently available. Here's a page that explains this more.

There are other Magic Jack troubleshooting tips on that site to also try.

The Magic Jack needs a good steady supply of 500 mA (milliamps) of power for all of it's functions to work properly. Different phones have a different Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) - amount of power needed to make it work properly. Same reason why not all phones will ring when using a multi-handset phone system. Wikipedia explains REN here:

The solution is to either go get an AC-powered hub (as suggested by a lady's testimonial on the first linked page) OR using a different phone (with a lower REN requirement).

The first solutions costs under $20 at any Wal-Mart. If you want to get a different phone, the REN is usually listed in the specs on the box. If you can find out the REN for your current phone (at manufacturers web site), buy a new one that has a lower REN (lower the number, the less power that it requires).

Good Luck!
