fitwxc help. How to get free data plan on iPhone

Saw your post about iPhone + T-mobile2go = free data plan.
I still didn't quite get it. I assume it doesn't require wifi
access to get all functionality that data plan provides, right ?

Can you provide more detail ?
Any forums have those kind of discussion ?
