今天的Dell已经大不如前了

DELL的台式机做了几个trick.

无法升级主板. Front panel connector non-standard, pinout 不公开.

HSF有可能non-standard. 升级功耗大的CPU有困难.

BIOS极烂. 很多CPU, RAM不认.

DELL的机器用几年后只能扔掉. 连机箱都没法reuse.

I have only owned Dell once. Personally I will never buy a Dell any more -- unless it's 50% the price of a comparable HP/Compaq.
