calm down, your data is not destroyed if you haven't formated the hdd. Even if you have formated the hdd, there are still ways to recovery the data. I hope you didn't format your hdd.

To copy you data out, there is a convenient way, download and burn ubunto liveCD, and boot your computer, you will be able to see all the data in your hard drive.

Most likely, you hdd is gone. I always have two partitions on my hdd, and put my data into the second partition, and it is then 100% safe, because only the first partition is damaged and not accessable in windows.
