something is wrong in the memory chips

Open the box and make sure the memory dimms are firmly seated. If the problem persists, you may consider to take the hd out and to use another pc to retrieve the data in the hd (as a slave).

Worst of worst, try to remove the dimms one by one to isolate which one is bad.
