Laptop locked by itself!!!!!!!

We I turn power on for this IBM laptop 600E, it was prompted to enter password. Damn it, I never know it.

Please help. How can I solve it?

I like to render it. It is P2-400, 128 memory 10G harddisk. everythink is good except password. Make a offer more $100.00 then it is yours.
