Laptop Monitor Blacked

Hello friends,

My Dell Laptop Monitor got blanked after I accidendly deabled the Adpater under desktop Properties/setting/advanced/adapter. The OS is Windows XP Home Edition. I have tried but could not start by Safe Mode. The Monitor is still black. Is there anyone has the experience to fix the problem? Thanks and appreciate your help.
