three ways

1. router. all computers are directly connected to the router, the number of comupters dependents on the port number of the retouer.
2. hub. if your isp dosen't provide more than one ip address, you cannot use it to connect more than one computer to internet.
3. one computer acts as server and connect to cable modem, another computer connects to the server computer. you need to setup it. i think your operation system has the software.
