MacBook Pro with Core 2 Duo was released a little while ago.
It could be a coincidence that Lenovo Thinkpad with Core 2 Duo was released about the same time as MacBook Pro. I suspect that Apple and Lenovo are not the biggest buyers (Dell, HP?) from Intel and were pushed on the waiting list.
