Core Duo or Turion 64 X2

planning to get a laptop soon. Which processor should I choose? Turion 64 can run Windows Vista 64 but it is just a desktop Athlon 64 X2 with low wattage restriciton. Core Duo on the other hand is designed with laptop usage in mind.
