中国护照快过期了，回中国再返回美国有问题吗？

我今年打算回国一次，启程的时候离护照过期还有两个多月，打算回去玩两星期就回来。因为听说中国护照现在不能renew了，只给换新的，而且我也已经递交了美国公民的申请，所以不想费事费钱去换中国护照了。大家看我回中国再返回美国有问题吗？
