GS CEO： I’m not surprised by the volatility in markets

I’m not surprised by the volatility in markets as they adjust to the pace of AI adoption, but I am excited about this technology’s potential to create significant productivity gains.

Megacap tech companies are devoting more of their cash flows to investing in this technology, but these are huge, diversified companies with enormous balance sheet capacity. More risk capital has been deployed in newer tech companies, some of which will ultimately fail, but others will grow into highly successful ventures themselves.

It is all part of the U.S. economy’s dynamism and entrepreneurial spirit, which was on display at our annual Private Innovative Company Conference in Las Vegas, where we brought together founders and investors to discuss themes across the technology landscape and capital raising.
