not hard to pick up C++ syntax, but I think u need

a senior c++ lead to oversee the project. Writting in C++ syntax doesn't make your project object oriented. You might want to call a meeting to discuss the con and pro: why switch? what goal you want to achive? cost factor, etc.. Software engineering :)
