Most program will take FMGs only when they do not get enough american medical graduate, no matter now smart you are, you are considered second class. If a program is very competitive for AMGs, no FMGs can get in. In most program with both AMG and FMG, a dummy AMG will be chosen as chief resident, rather than an excellent FMG. So you can see the author's claims are next to two impossibles: you can not get in, and you won't be chosen . Do you think they want you to lecture AMGs in your foreign sound English? A chief resident's job is to give lectures besides some management work. Most Chinese, as I am one, can not speak English as good as Indian doctors. So, who are you kidding?
