when you internalized all/whatever applicable of the aspects of leadership, you will not be confused as much.  You will just feel it's part of you, gut-feelings.

不过不是老外大学学leadership, :)女儿二年级就开始Leadership traing了， 如 how to lead a panel discussion, how to do the public speech, etc.  这就是像native language一样的内化训练呀。 mindset is the "set" inside your mind, not "bookset" or "talkset", :)  :)
