My thoughts

I understand your feeling. However, if your boss is fine, you move on. Everyone is working on their paycheck so is your boss - life is short and don't be too serious for the things out of your control. Also, never assume that you are smarter than your boss - you might not see the whole picture with all of your boss's strengths but it doesn't mean your boss is not qualified to be your boss.
