The thing is you sounds a little (just a little) aggressive, which may make some feel uncomfortable. Maybe, "Pride" is not the approprriate decription. I remember a very capable woman Zhong Guo Ren manager many years ago. Her pet phrase is, “ according to my experience in North America,…”, which really made many local employees uncomfortable. You must know that Just like what "兄弟在英国的时候,...." gives a weird feeling sometimes, YOU MUST READ SOME 围城.

On the other hand, it might be wise to just ignore those mean people, this world is made up of many kinds of birds…

Our Great Culture Revelotion has created so many paranoids who argue against you just to destroy you rather than to help this group of people You may see many such people on Chinese BBS, but they are few. Well, do not waste your time on them...

I guess everyone has his/her style, it might be better to pay attention to what is most important...
