sigh. Sorry there is no very simple solution.

U have to make ur own decision. (u can always call ur boss to change ur previous decision, if u already declined him/her). Like I said, I would do it if I were you. That will make you looks really good, especially if others cannot be trusted. But i am not sure how much trouble it will cause on ur side.
