面试后如何follow up

第一个面试说九月份可能有新项目。让八月初follow up.
第二个面试在二周前，the hiring manager 回复我的thank you letter, saying "As we talked, we are waiting client’s final decision and then I will update you."

I am thinking to write emails to follow up. What should I say in my emails? thanks a lot.
