Well, it depends on if it's yr project or yr son's.

It sounds like you have been invested A LOT into this project yourself, and you are doing it for your son and a little bit for yrself.
Your son's attitude shows me differently. So the question is, do u think it's his project or yours? If it's his, let HIM handle the consequences:)
