Yes, both my wife and I know his wife well.  Actually we couldn't understand why his wife never complained about this.  Obviously she didn't notice this or didn't mind this, otherwise he wouldn't be as smelly.  So I don't think it's a good way to talk to his wife.  Thank you, anyway.  Any other suggestions?
