Somehow, I feel what they did is not entirely legal.  Something happened in that company,  or somebody messed up their work and you got screwed and it is not fair.  Read the offer letter to see if there is any condition.  Also, read the HR notice for rescind your offer.   Put everything together.  Send an e-mail to HR for them to respond and tell them you reserve right for.... If you fine a job easily, then maybe just forget about it.  If not, they need to pay.
