Thank you for the response. I do need to take care of a young kid. With a school kid, flexible time is so important. That is why I hesitate to make decision. $15K difference is not a big issue at all. Flexible working time is so attractive. However, a stable and relax working environment is also what I like. Definitely consultant job is more stressful than government job.
