I got shot when lying

The project release began, the manager let me to release the related records to a table, which I had tested for several days. When I opened the table, I found it was different than I worked with, around 100 rows more.

I reported this to the manager, he was a little confused.

And told to one person called AAA who worked here for longest time. He said another person was running some script, which added around hundred of rows.

The manager looked a little scared and let me stop releasing.

Then, he showed me an email with a list of steps about the release, where the script AAA mentioned was the top one.

The email was from AAA. This email was to the manager and cc to everybody, except me.

And, on the bottom, there was a note in bold red color, my name was mentioned that I was the owner of the script and did some comments in it.  There, AAA let others following my requirement and execute the script.

I checked very quickly the script file, it was created long time ago, very sure written by a person among the first round lay-off group. And the script was wrong, at least based on the time.

I feel really not good.

I wrote an email to everyone saying the script was not from me and it had obvious mistake.
