Hitron Technologies Inc. has an open position for a product design engineer to focus on development of maskless micro-pattern generator (MPG), for research on optimization of photoalignment material and process, and fabrication of micro-pattern based liquid crystal bistable display. This person will also assist other engineers, scientists, and technicians on new product development from conception through R&D to production of reliable commercial products related to HTI's core technologies. The primary location will be the company office in lexington, kY, with some travel (50% time) to Ohio, to work together with our university partner, Kent State University.

A qualified person would be highly detail oriented, with skillful and knowledgeable in high-precision optics instruments, Electrical controller, and/or software programming for control of optical instruments based on digital mirror device (DMD). As the key task is to develop maskless micro-pattern generator (MPG)product based on the existing on-bench prototype, experience/skills with
all or one of the following designs would be very helpful: (1)mechanical design using Solid Works; (2)electronic controller design using Labview, (3)Optical design using any ray-tracing optical software such as Zemax.

 The person must demonstrate sufficient willingness for collaborating with other team members and our university partners (Kent State University), and for technical writing related to technical reports/proposals. The preferred person would be a self-starter and team-builder of an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers. Project management experience is desired.
