4 years of experience should at least get you a staff

position, what skills do you have? the most desirable skills are:

software: Hyperion, SAP

functional: financial reporting, operational finance

My recommendation to you is to be patient, try not to get desperate and get into one of those deadend position like payroll or AP, AR for smaller companies, the skills you get on those positions are not transferrable and won't get you anywhere.
