multiple application affect job seeking?

I am a software engineer in Silicon Valley with both developmeny and testing experience. I also have skills in several areas. So I got many interview chances. I feel some interview really going well. But I haven't caught one after 5 months. I guess that there is a league in the high-tech industry. If you are interviewed for multiple positions, you might never catch one. Any suggestions?
