Not good enough

1. You need to please your boss by doing an excellent job or extra work.

2. You need to commnuicate effectively with your boss and co-workers in advance to prevent those bad things happening to you (communication and prevention are more effective than self-defense)

3.Employment is a two-way street. People respect you, you return with respect. Some people prevoke conflict, you fight back.

4. Those people whe tend to provoke conflict are insecure, they try to talk you down so that they could look better. Fight them back with action
