my wife had similar issue with her female boss

Her boss has a strongly red personality, and always complains her direct reports over their slowness. Fortunately, my wife has green personality and never got into direct conflict with her. However, I encouraged my wife to be honest with her feeling and honest with her boss. If she feel bad, let her boss know. I think now she gets the position she likes and established an OK relationship with her boss.I think the key is being honest, but not emotional.
