Tech lead is not end of you career path. If you take Tech lead,where are you going after that?

PM or TL may have same rate in your company but not in most others. I personally go for the PM role if I can.

I mean, if you pick the TL role now, after a while you will find PM would be you next step up. Why don't take it right now when you can.
