Financial System Analyst

Has anybody worked as a Financial System Analyst? The job is mapping financial data into a financial reporting system, create reports, etc. I am more of a finance/accounting person, even if I have used different ERP systems.I know the position has very good career prospects but I don't want to bite off more than I can chew.
