请问一个问题, about unemployeement benifit

I am still taking unemployeement benifit, but actively looking for job, as I have 1 year gap, I guess it would be easier if I start my job as a contractor instead of permanent. But I am worried, if I lose the contractor job, then I can't take the current rate of unemployeement benifit anymore.

Will EDD keep the rest of unemployeement benifit length and rate for me if I lose the contractor job? Please advise.
