come to vent again

I have had several phone interviews for internal positions. nothing panned out so far. granted these are positions that I don't have experiences. just want to make a career move.  Two more positions come up, which fit my background and training and at a convenient location too. I have connected with HM. but I am so discouraged by outcomes so far that I can't even sum up energy to go through the "talking" process. sometimes I wonder why God keeps me here in my current job. Is there an ultimate goal here or just tough testing for my endurance? rumors run that there may be more cuts early next year. when will this be over?
