I am in very complex situation

I work at dean office of a small Univesity, but I am under other supervisor. She is very micromanager and game player. it is not good work under the dean, because I am a good friend of the him( I knew him over 10 years, before he was dean). He helped me sometime for my supervisor report. I think this is not good way to work in long run, so I am looking for a job.The dean knew it and said looking for job outside. I did, but I am not sure I can get from outside in shot time. He is going to construct a new office(he is new dean), and Somebody is going to move out. Is it Ok without talking to dean and looking other dean office job of same University? I guess other deans may need my skills. In this way I may hurt him on the job(I know he needs my skills too, nobody can do better job than me), later on my hu*****and is looking for job in his collage area. What am I going to do?
