different position from the same company

I got an email from an HR person of a company for an opening. Actually I visited them 2 years ago for an on-site interview. I did not get the offer that time. Now they have opening for a different position. Do I need to mention that interview experience 2 years ago?
I do not know if this position is from the same group.
