$110K in Boston

Is this figure relative low or normal for Sr. Java Developer there?

Seems living expense is pretty high there. Most job ad says Sr. position is 90K~120K. Tried 120K and the recruiter said $120K is difficult for Sr. level. It's for principal developer.
