should I go forward with this prank?

My boss and sr. director are fighting for the leadership of a new program i am working on. Both of them talked with big boss about it. I think big boss did not make a clear statement and this is why they are still fighitng. It has gotten to the point that I think the situation is pretty funny. So here is my prank:

I will talk with big boss myself, telling him that since I have built the development plan, I should be the lead. I iwll ask my frined to set up meeting iwth big boss himself to try to get the leading role. also, I will have someone else to convince my opponent here that he should be the lead. 5 people fighting for a "lead" role, isn't that funny? Sure it will give big boss a god headache. Hopefully he can get the message.
