1. With a European degree, it is fine because this is easy to be evaluated by North American companies.
2.To be overqualified is a common trouble for new immigrants. This is why I suggest you to study in a job search workshop held by Native Canadian. They will teach you a lot of skills about dealing with difficult questions.
