No matter what you do, it should be ok for you, at lease for sometime. However, the company will not be screwed either way or any way, probbaly except feeling a little bit anger. The only thing that is going to be somehow affected is the future offers for our fellow Chinese (if you are) or you might have a slim chance being impacted later on because this is a small world!
