本人女,有美国的硕士学位,但是因为在家带了几年孩子有GAP,现在找工作很难,基本上找不到原专业的工作.想转行学ORACLE,
-- Gap is not a problem;
-- 想转行学甲骨文, a good idea.
-- However, not necessarily 甲骨文, as long as you know DBMS system like: MS SQL Server, MySQL, Db2, Sybase, Netezza, PostGreySQL, TeraData, etc, you will find a job in some place.

去附近的COMMUNITY COLLEDGE修一门课然后争取
考个ORACLE证书.请问这样对找工作帮助大吗?
-- Yes, it will not hurt;
-- Whether it will help or not, totally depends on who is your teacher and what will you lean in the class.
-- I knew some local college class is just waste of $$. You do not learn much;
-- I knew other classes which not only teach you real skills, supply all the books and materials but also teach you how to modify Resume, how to answer interview questions and how do do many many projects with large volume of DATA.

我以前学过一门DATABASE的课有一点底子.请问ORACLE证书一般要准备多久能考下来? BTW,我现在身份不是问题.
-- Depends how much time your put on your study;
-- With a good teacher, good material, couple months should be enough;

另外,ORACLE和SQL有什么区别呢? SQL也有证书可以考吗?
-- I assume here the SQL you are talking about means MS SQL Server, Yes, many company use SQL Server. Yes, you can take exam to get certificate on SQL Server;
-- Get a certificate will NOT hurt you;
-- However, the industry offer jobs to people without certificate. Skill is more important than a simple certificate.
